I've been unfortunately absent for a while when it comes to posting new chapters. I apologize for that, but this time I actually have a good reason for my silence.
When I started writing Scars, I quite literally had no idea where I wanted to go with the story. The chapters were tangentially-related, half-formed ideas more than anything else. But as this disjointed narrative continued (and as people surprisingly told me they actually liked my ramblings) I found myself needing to stop stumbling around a story and actually give the tale some meaning.
And I did it! I think. I hope. Point is, I have a plan now and one that will be pretty awesome as it unfolds. So expect a new chapter soon and several more after that.

The Return of White Snow Guest Appearances!
As I plug away wrapping up the last of Tamai's Song, which is currently two, possibly three chapters from conclusion, I'm starting to lay the groundwork for future stories. One of the things I fell off the bandwagon with, and one of the things I really want to get back to including, is guest appearances from other people's OC characters. Rather than get guest appearances set up for the upcoming White Snow: Resurrection story (which is still a ways out) I'm planning on some "Off Duty" chapters which could use some guest appearances. So far, I have openings for guests to fill the following roles: 1. A melee-focused character for a scene with the Handmaiden. 2. A run-of-the-mill Mando (preferably a musician or with musical talents) for a party scene. 3. A Clone Wars veteran who would be loyal to Fenn Shysa, possibly even serving as a bodyguard. If you have any characters that fit the bill, reach out to me and I'll see if I can work them into the story! I'll include the character and any relevant backstory in the scenes mentioned. :) I've really missed these guest appearances, as I always found them really fun to work on. Until then, I hope you've been enjoying Tamai's Song so far. Big things are in the works for White Snow, and I can't wait to share what happens next. -Vhetin1138
Some quick updates!
Some super quick updates for y'all. On the writing front things are going well. Tamai's Song is progressing nicely and I'm very excited to share some great upcoming twists waiting in both the remainder of the story and the inevitable Off Duty bonus chapters that will follow. Big things are coming for the White Snow series, and I think it'll shock and excite a lot of you. :D Hopping over to my other series, the final entry of my Dragon Age quadrilogy is underway and going well. I'm not going to start posting chapters until I've made more significant progress and honestly I'm hoping to keep it under wraps until I'm done with the whole damn thing. Either way, I can't wait to share this story. I have no doubt it'll be the best in the series yet. On a related note, I'm going to be taking down one of my shorter Dragon Age stories, The Knot. I was never a fan of how it fit into the perceived "canon" of my stories, and I've decided to fold the bulk of the story into the narrative of
Some Updates
At the risk of jinxing the whole thing, I feel the need to pass along some updates about ongoing projects. Since the new year I've had a sudden burst of creative energy and have been hard at work writing. It feels good to finally have the capacity to write again, and I'm taking advantage of it while it lasts. That said, White Snow: Resurgence is being a bastard and I've got major writer's block. I'm only a few scenes away from being done but writing those scenes is like pulling teeth. It'll get updated and finished if it's the last thing I do, but I have no godly idea when it'll be ready to post. The shorter spin-off story that comes after Resurgence, titled Tamai's Song, is coming along pretty well and I'm satisfied with the tale I have planned. I'm going to save that one until it's 100% done so you guys can enjoy a full story instead of a piecemeal, chapter-by-chapter one, and it's about 1/4 of the way ready. It's a nice way to still write Star Wars without beating my head against
Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Pt. 2
And while we're on the subject, let's talk about the fight between Fett and Bo Katan's sidekick. They say she only got the upper hand on Boba to sell her character as a badass. This is true, but here's a better explanation. Boba says he's not Mandalorian. He claims to just be "a simple man." But he was *raised* as a Mandalorian. He carries the kyr'bes on his shoulder - an addition he made to his father's armor. It's important enough that he repaints it back with the rest of his armor. Slave 1's readouts are in Mando'a, and Fett can clearly speak the language as evidenced in Episode 2. He says he doesn't care. That's very clearly a lie. So even if he tells himself otherwise, I don't believe he'd have it in him to outright kill a fellow Mandalorian for no greater crime than being a little mouthy with him. He finds it funny, not threatening. Fett was very obviously going easy on the girl because she was young and brash like good Mandalorians should be. Like he once was himself. If she'd truly been a threat or an impediment to his goals, such a fight would have unfolded very, very differently. Probably would've been over quicker too. :)
